My name is Philip Fikes. I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and graduate of the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing. For several years, I have had the privilege of serving as President of the college’s Alumni Association (UACCNAA).
The UACCNAA is excited about creating opportunities for alumni to stay connected and providing support to current nursing students. Now more than ever, we need your help to meet growing demands of our nation’s health care system and reduced revenue for higher education.
Our number one goal is to support and promote the Capstone College of Nursing. Please join our association and encourage friends and other CCN alumni to do so as well. As a member, you will be invited to join us for a Homecoming BBQ at the college and will receive CCN’s magazine, the Capsule. Your annual alumni dues contribute to the growth and academic success of the Capstone College of Nursing and help ensure future generations of CCN nurses.
Webster’s College Dictionary defines Capstone as “the crowning achievement.” The College of Nursing at Alabama earned this name through the hard work of outstanding faculty, the best and brightest students, and its pride and commitment to the nursing profession.
